About · Dennis Deery

A technologist who learned to lead people, not just systems.

My career sits where engineering meets leadership — and that intersection is exactly where most technology efforts succeed or fail.

I started in software, close to the code, where I learned how systems really behave and where technical risk actually hides. Over time I moved toward the harder problem: helping people and organizations change. That path led me through leadership development, organizational transformation, and the rise of AI as a practical tool rather than a buzzword.

Today I bring those threads together as a personal advisor. I can sit with a technical team and read systems honestly, then turn around and translate it for leadership in language that drives a decision. I treat AI with the same pragmatism — genuinely excited about what it unlocks, and clear-eyed about where it doesn't belong yet.

What I care about most is that change holds. It's easy to launch an initiative; the real work is making it stick after the energy fades. That belief shapes every engagement — fewer slides, more follow-through, and a leader who stays accountable to the outcome.
